The Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies (CHS) is one of the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies Programs. It was established in 2016. The Center focuses on producing in-depth research, building specialized capacities, and guiding policies aimed at promoting peace and resolving conflicts through diverse and multi-track dialogues. The Center aspires to become one of the leading research institutions in the Global South, dedicated to addressing issues of conflict and humanitarian response from a critical and forward-looking perspective.

Doha Workshop on Supporting National Prevention Efforts Convenes Global Experts

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies (CHS), the Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA), and the Joint UNDP-DPPA Programme on Building National Capacities for Conflict Prevention jointly organized the Doha Workshop on Supporting National Prevention Efforts from January 12 to January 14, 2025, at the Mondrian hotel in Doha, Qatar. This landmark event gathered high-level policymakers, UN Peace and Development Advisors (PDAs), and experts from around the globe to advance innovative approaches to national conflict prevention and peacebuilding.
