On Wednesday May 3rd, 2023, the advisory board of the Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies (CHS) held its annual meeting in Doha, Qatar. The meeting was attended by Dr. Azmi Bishara, the General Director of the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS), and the participation of the advisory broad: H.E. Mariam Al-Misnad, the Minister of Social Development and Family, H.E. Lolwah Al-Khater, the Minister of State for International Cooperation, H.E. Dr. Hend Al-Muftah, Qatar's Permanent Representative to UN-Geneva, H.E. Khalifa bin Jassem Al-Kuwari, Director General of Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), H.E. Professor Mohammed Al-Maadheed, the Head of the Centre for Metabolism & Inflammation and Director-General of Naufar in Qatar, Dr. Ahmed Al-Muraikhi, the Special Adviser to UN Secretary-General on Public-Private Partnerships and Islamic Social Finance, Dr. Ghanim Al-Najjar, Member of the Broad of Directors, Dr. Marwan Kabalan, the Director of Policy Analysis Unit at ACPRS, Dr. Mohammad Almasri, the Executive Director of ACRPS, and Dr. Ghassan El-Kahlout, the Director of CHS.

The meeting discussed CHS's annual report for the year 2022. It reviewed the development of CHS's structure and governance, its achievements, issues of funding, the projects undertaken to support dialogue and peacebuilding, and the CHS's production of research and policy briefs. In particular, the board discussed the future plans of CHS, with the aim of increasing its level of effectiveness in line with its future vision to expand the scope of its work.
