GENEVA, SWITZERLAND — June 2, 2026 — The Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies and the Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding at the Geneva Graduate Institute have successfully concluded a two-day peer review workshop in Geneva. The workshop was dedicated to advancing drafts and coordinating crucial themes for the upcoming 2027 World Mediation Report.

Against a backdrop of accelerating geopolitical shifts, the forthcoming report will explore how recent disruptions in the international order impact the traditional norms and institutions that have anchored global cooperation and peace mediation over the past three decades. Throughout the workshop, authors exchanged rigorous peer-to-peer feedback, tracked research overlaps, and assessed structural adjustments to contemporary peacemaking strategies to ensure a cohesive and impactful final publication.

The peer review workshop provided strategic planning and an operational update on the upcoming Qatar Mediation Forum 2026, which will serve as a prominent global platform to carry forward these critical policy findings.
