Submissions are welcome for the Palgrave Pivot book series 'Palgrave Critical Studies in Post-Conflict Recovery', co-edited by Professor Sultan Barakat and Dr. Sansom Milton. The series publishes theoretically-rigorous and applied research into the recovery of conflict-affected societies. The aim is to bridge the theory and practice of post-conflict recovery across a range of disciplinary approaches and interventionary logics including but not limited to humanitarian action, conflict resolution, post-war reconstruction, peacebuilding, statebuilding, and transitional justice.

The series also responds to the growing need for timely published work on contemporary recovery-related issues, which fits with the Palgrave Pivot format designed to offer shorter manuscripts and fast publishing times. The inaugural book in the series is From War to Peace in the Balkans, the Middle East and Ukraine by Professor Daniel Serwer, Director of the Conflict Management and American Foreign Policy Programs at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Further contributions to the series are welcomed, especially from experts in the Global South.
