Acting as a facilitator, the Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies (CHS) seeks to encourage international cooperation and dialogue between the West and the Taliban to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in Afghanistan and to reach a common ground concerning humanitarian assistance. As a result, a discussion is set to take place by H.E. Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Afghan Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, on recent developments since 15 August and the future foreign policy of Kabul on Monday 11 October at 18:00 Doha Time. It will be chaired by Professor Sultan Barakat, Director, CHS.

Last year, CHS hosted a lecture by the former President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani, in which he focused on peacebuilding in Afghanistan and the Afghan people’s national will for peace.

The discussion will be livestreamed on CHS social media platforms @OnlineCHS.
