On 27 October 2022 the Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies (CHS), in cooperation with the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA), hosted a consultative meeting on "Global and Regional Cooperation in Addressing Humanitarian Emergencies: Enhancing Synergies between UN Agencies and Humanitarian and Development Organizations in Qatar". The event was timed to commemorate United Nations Day.
The meeting concluded with the participants' agreement on the necessity of activating coordination mechanisms between the UN institutions and governmental and non-governmental institutions and organizations for Qatar and the development of regional and international partnerships. Dr. Ghassan Elkahlout, Director of the Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies, expressed the center's commitment to follow up on the recommendations of the consultative meeting and to work closely with the participants to activate these recommendations.
