Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies is organizing a public symposium titled "Europe and the War on Gaza: Analysing Responses and Dynamics" The event will be held on 24 September 2024 at 12:30 PM (Doha time) at the CHS Seminar Room, located on the second floor of the F1 Building.
This symposium will feature distinguished speakers, including:
- H.E. Kare Reidar Aas, former Norwegian Ambassador to Afghanistan and the United States and Political Director at MoFA.
- H.E. Alistair Burt, former British Minister of State for the Middle East at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
The panel will explore the diverse European perspectives on Palestine and the ongoing war in Gaza, examining the political, economic, and historical factors shaping these responses. The discussion will also address potential shifts that could lead to a more assertive European role in pressuring Israel to bring an end to the conflict.
Simultaneous translation between Arabic and English will be available. The symposium will be held in person and livestreamed on our social media platforms.
