Taj Hussain began his career in the field of asylum and immigration law in the United Kingdom, where he worked as a legal assistant in appeals against British government decisions, before moving to work as a research assistant at the Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies in Doha. He holds an LLM in International Law from Queen Mary, University of London and a LLB from the University of Leeds. His research interests include customary law, international humanitarian law, the law of war, genocide, and post-colonial understandings of international law and humanitarian action.
