She holds a master's degree with distinction in Conflict Management and Humanitarian Action from the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, and a Bachelor's degree with distinction in Political Science, minor International Relations from Birzeit University. Prior to joining the centre, she worked as a research intern at the Middle East Council on Global Affairs on conflict issues in the Middle East and North Africa. She has an experience on several relief projects in Jerusalem and the West Bank. In addition to her research and field work, she has been involved in projects aimed at alleviating the suffering of refugees in Turkey, Italy, BiH, Bulgaria, Romania, Belgium, and Croatia. Sara's research interests focus on war narratives, victims, and post-conflict reconciliation.
