Mohammad Alhamawi is a Research Assistant at the Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies (CHS) in Doha, Qatar. He holds a Master of Science in Development Administration and Planning from University College London (UCL) and a Bachelor of Arts in International Development from the University of Leeds, where he achieved a first-class mark in both dissertations.

His research interests include identity politics, regional and area studies, political development, postcolonialism, the state, and West Asia and North Africa (WANA) region. He is an active member of the Development Studies Association (DSA) in the United Kingdom.
