​Dr. Mazen Ejlah is a Researcher and Lecturer in Economics in Gaza  Strip. Dr Mazen holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Algiers in 2011. He worked in the field of academic teaching at universities in Gaza as a part-time lecturer for 25 years. He worked in the Palestinian government as a researcher in development and economics and worked as a consultant with many civil society institutions on development issues and the impact of the siege and occupation on the development process. He published many research papers, including five books, the most recent of which is the book "The Lost Years of Development (2007-2018)", which was published by the Research Center in Ramallah in 2020. He is interested in issues of reconstruction in the Gaza Strip and its humanitarian repercussions within the colonial context.
