Biography

Dr. Laurent A. Lambert is  a non-resident fellow at Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies (CHS) and Associate Professor, School of Economics, Administration and Public Policy at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, where he's in charge of the courses in energy policy and sustainability. He previously was Senior Policy Analyst at the Social and Economic Survey Research Institute (SESRI) and senior administrator of the Qatar Humanitarian Innovation Lab initiative (QHIL), at Qatar University. Prior to that, Laurent worked as R&D Director at Oxford Consilium (an Oxford University spinoff) and was Director of the annual green workshop of the Europaeum (Oxford). In 2015-2016, he was a Board Member of the United Nations Climate Technology Center and Network (CTCN). His research and policy interests lie at the intersection of water and energy security, environmental risks, including climate change, public policy, humanitarian innovation, the science-policy interface, and national security.

Over the past fifteen years, Laurent has worked as a researcher and Lead Principal Investigator, program manager, consultant and government adviser with the United Nations, the African Union, the French Ministry of Defense, inter alia. He is now in charge of several international projects on humanitarian innovation and sustainable development.
