​Dr. Diala R. Hawi earned her PhD in social psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her research focuses on social issues that stem from conflict, such as multiple group dynamics and third-party effects, as well as disadvantaged and oppressed status groups. Her more recent projects examine the implications of diversity in Arab states, and longitudinally tracking socio-psychological changes over time in Qatar
