​An experienced diplomat with over 30 years of service in the UN system, specializing in political affairs, conflict mediation, and international security. She served as Director of the UN Security Council Affairs Division from 2016 to 2022 and was Chief of Staff in the Office of the UN Special Envoy for Syria (2014–2016). Her UN career includes involvement in peacekeeping missions in Cambodia and Tajikistan, peacebuilding in Somalia and Syria, and humanitarian work in Iraq and Tanzania. She has also authored articles on UN mediation and conflict resolution.
