​Alessandro Accorsi has served as Senior Analyst for Social Media and Conflict at the International Crisis Group since September 2022. Before joining the Crisis Group, Mr. Accorsi led the Southern Task Force at the European Union External Action Service for five years, where he specialized in managing foreign interference and strategic communications in the Middle East. Between 2010 and 2015, Mr. Accorsi worked as a field researcher and foreign correspondent in the Middle East, covering post-revolutionary Egypt, as well as Israel and Palestine. He later transitioned to investigative journalism, specializing in open-source intelligence (OSINT) from 2015 to 2017. Mr. Accorsi holds a Master's Degree in International and Diplomatic Studies from the University of Bologna and a Master's Degree in Investigative Journalism from City University of London.​
