Hanna Serwaa Tetteh has been the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) since January 2025. She previously served as Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa (2022–2024), and as Special Representative to the African Union and Head of the UN Office to the African Union (2018–2020). Before joining the UN, she was Ghana's Minister for Foreign Affairs (2013–2017) and Minister for Trade and Industry (2009–2013). Tetteh also held several senior government positions and parliamentary seats in Ghana, contributing extensively to regional peace and economic development.
