​Sara Hellmüller is a research professor at the Geneva Graduate Institute. She is a peace researcher, focusing particularly on UN peace missions in different world orders, mediation and peace processes—especially in Syria and the DR Congo—and the production of knowledge on peace and conflict. Committed to transformative science, she combines in-depth empirical research with direct support for ongoing peace processes. Her previous positions and visiting fellowships include ETH Zurich, Swisspeace, Oxford University, University of Montreal, Bunia University, and Columbia University.​
