Biography

​Evelyne Tauchnitz is a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Social Ethics at the University of Lucerne and a Research Associate at the University of Oxford's Centre for Technology and Global Affairs (CTGA). She focuses on governance strategies for peace in the digital age, and also serves on the UN Internet Governance Forum's Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Group. Dr. Tauchnitz holds a PhD in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and was a Visiting Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, where she researched international norms and negotiation. Previously, she led a multi-year Swiss National Science Foundation project at the University of Bern, examining the intersection of political science and human rights law. Her career includes roles with Swiss Parliamentary Services, UNICEF, and civil society organizations. She studied political science, economics, and law at the University of Bern.​
