The Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies (CHS) and the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) are organizing a joint symposium on "The Experience of Qatari Humanitarian Organizations in Adapting to a Changing Regional Landscape". It will take place in auditorium 2 - Cultural Foundation - Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, on Sunday 12 June 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Doha Time (GMT+3).

The symposium will draw a general picture of the effects of the changing regional landscape on Qatari humanitarian organizations' work, shedding light on the obstacles on the humanitarian sector. The event will also focus on these organizations' means of response and adaptation to overcome the challenges in the first phase of these regional changings, in addition to exploring how these organizations can benefit from this experience to develop their own planning and best practices to further advance the humanitarian action.

The event seeks to promote fruitful discussions on the best humanitarian practices in light of limitations set by the changing regional landscape. It also seeks to highlight the necessity of observing humanitarian values in all political engagements between countries to avoid exposing humanitarian activity to negative political repercussions once again. The symposium will present future outlooks on opportunities that can be utilized for the benefit of humanitarian affairs in Qatar.

The symposium will be livestreamed in English and Arabic, on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
